Spier is one of the Stellenbosch winelands' most celebrated destinations. Our wine farm has sweeping views of the Helderberg mountain range, and lies besides the calming waters of the Eerste River.

Spier is located in the heart of South Africa's wine-growing region, just 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.

Beyond our award winning wine and scenic beauty part of what makes Spier unique is its ethical approach to business.  As witness to this approach Spier was one of the first organisations in the country to be accredited by Fair Trade in Tourism SA. Spier was also the first winery to be accredited by the Wine Industry Ethical Trade Association.
