Hoghouse BBQ & Bakery


Coinciding with its reopening after the winter break, Hoghouse recently refreshed its popular bakery under the oaks with a new concept barbeque offering.

In addition to its popular patisseries and breads, a giant new smoker has been installed, offering “low and slow“ smoked meats.

Artisanal baking 

The wood-fired oven and bakery kitchen, located in the historical Jonkershuis on the  Werf, serves fresh bread, pastries and treats – which can also be pre-ordered 48 hours in advance. 

Lunches and Barbeques

For lunches and barbeques, Spier’s Farmer Angus supplies Hoghouse with grass-fed beef, pork and free-roaming chicken. Cuts are smoked for up to 18 hours and can be ordered by weight, from 100g. You can design your own platter, served farm-style on metal trays and greaseproof paper. Save space for a few tasty sides, then finish up with decadent artisanal gelatos or Hoghouse patisserie specialties.

Opening times from 1 December - 18 December: 

Sunday to Tuesday 
Lunch from 11:00 – 16:00 (Kitchen closes at 15:00)

Wednesday – Saturday 
Lunch and Dinner from 11:00 – 23:00 (Kitchen closes at 21:00) 

Opening times from 19 December - 08 January: 

Open daily from 11:00 till 21:00 except for the following days:

24 December: 11:00 – 16:00 (Christmas Eve)
25 December: Closed (Christmas day)
31 December: 11:00 – 16:00 (New Year’s eve)
1 January: 11:00 – 16:00 (Special New Year’s day Brunch)
