The wine is dark plum in colour. Inviting blackberry flavors on the nose with hints of caramel, cinnamon and tobacco. The palate rewards with juicy sweet fruit flavors and a velvety smooth finish.
Grapes were harvested at 24° balling, gently crushed, de-stemmed and cooled for fermentation. After 2 days of cold soaking the juice was fermented until dry in stainless steel tanks at 24°C. Three pump-over's were conducted daily. After fermentation 20% of the wine was matured in French oak barrels for-8 months. The rest of blend matured in stainless steel tanks with French oak staves.
