Cheetah Outreach

Cheetah Outreach promotes the cause of the endangered African cheetah by introducing captive-born, hand-raised cheetahs not suitable for re-release as ambassadors to increase awareness,educate people and raise funds in South Africa. The beneficiary of these efforts is the cheetah through the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF).

Visitors to Spier can engage with the cheetahs at their facility on the estate. Cheetah Outreach also takes the tame cats to schools and into the townships, providing what is often the only opportunity for poor communities to see a wild animal. Spier supports Cheetah Outreach by donating land, water and electricity for its facilities on the estate.
