Spier wins two international wine trophies
The prestigious International Wine Challenge boasted more than 10,000 entries this year, and our Creative Block 3 2009 and Landmark 21 Gables Chenin Blanc 2009 were awarded with Gold medals. Recently, in the final rounds of the challenge, all gold medal winning wines were once again tasted blind against others in the same category, and the Creative Block 3 2009 was awarded the South African Red Trophy as well as the Stellenbosch Trophy.
“The International Wine Challenge is one of the most important worldwide competitions and these trophies are probably one of the best results we have received thus far,” says Spier Cellar Master Frans Smit.
Spier’s Creative Block range has previously won Silver, Gold and Double Gold medals at Veritas and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles competitions.
