Our Wines

Spier has played a pivotal role in the country's rich vinous history since its inception. The first grapes were pressed on the farm in 1712, and we are proud to be home to one of the Cape's oldest wine cellar buildings dated 1767. 

Spier was a founding member of the Stellenbosch wine route, and, with our sustainable approach to business, we continue to play a pioneering role in the industry. We were the first South African winery to receive certification from the Wine Industry Ethical Trade Association, and are a member of the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative.

Our wines, produced under two brands, Spier and Savanha, each include a set of ranges offering premium quality at exceptional value for lovers of fine wine. An impressive list of awards has been amassed by the brands in recent years.
