Spier Creative Block: Creative Blending

Spier is a long-time supporter of the arts. We wanted to create a wine range that reflects this commitment. Our Cellar Master recognised the synergies between blending wine and the Creative Block art project.

Creative Block combines artworks from different artists and rearranges them to create something new. It is this same principle of creatively blending different varietals from select vineyard blocks that creates these intriguing blends.

Each Creative Block wine is named after the number of varietals used to make up the blend. Spier Creative Block 2:  Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are the varietals used to create this white Bordeaux-style blend. Spier Creative Block 3: Shiraz, Mourvedre andViogner are the varietals used to create this Rhone-style wine.  Spier Creative Block 5: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are the varietals used to create red Bordeaux-style blend.
