The Eggventure Hunt: 3-5 April 2026
For three mornings over the Easter weekend, young explorers (ages 3-12) are invited to take part in our annual Eggventure Hunt. With a map in hand and a hop in their step, little adventurers will set off across the Werf to find five hidden stops. Each clue leads to the next, encouraging curious minds to observe, think and explore. Something is egg-citing waiting at the end – and it’s worth the search. While the little ones follow the trail, parents can enjoy wine-tasting stations set up along the way, so no one feels left out of the fun.

Share a Picnic Basket on The Lawn
If your Easter plans lean more toward blankets under oak trees than clue-solving, the Picnickery will be preparing special Easter baskets throughout the long weekend. Each basket is filled with generous, seasonal dishes made from farm ingredients and trusted local suppliers. Expect freshly baked hot cross buns, miso-roast lamb, pickled fish and other Easter favourites, ready to unpack and share. Every double basket includes a complimentary bottle of Seaward wine – because a good picnic is best enjoyed with something great in the glass.

Slow Sunday Lunch at Vadas
For those who prefer to settle in at the table, Vadas will be serving a special Easter Sunday set menu for lunch. The menu opens with feta and za’atar focaccia with labneh and roasted garlic, Farmer Angus chorizo with roasted peppers and basil, and pickled fish with toasted hot cross buns. From there, the focus turns to the fire: smoked leg of lamb with tzatziki and apricot chutney, smoked and grilled chicken with preserved lemon and green olives, and a spread of generous seasonal sides – heirloom tomato salad with goats’ cheese and capers, avocado and grilled corn salad with pancetta and sourdough croutons, and roasted potatoes with garlic and rosemary. Dessert arrives in properly decadent form: chocolate Easter egg pie and Biscoff pasteis de nata.
A dedicated children’s menu will also be available for guests under 10.

If you’re looking for something quieter, the Garden Room will be open for lunch throughout the Easter weekend. The seasonal menu draws from our wild Cape gardens and the farm’s harvest – honest, comforting dishes served in a light-filled space. No special programme, just good food, good wine and time to linger.
