Spier Winelands Express
The first Spier Winelands Express made its way from Cape Town station to the picturesque Spier Wine Farm on Sunday, 16 November. Here's what our guests got up to.
Arriving at the Spier train station, guests made their way to Eagle Encounters where they got up close and personal with birds of prey and learnt how these creatures keep the winelands ecosystem in check.
After some owl cuddling and raptor handling, visitors were treated to some of our award-winning wines at our wine tasting room overlooking the beautiful Helderberg mountains and the Spier dam.
Lunch soon followed at our farm to table restaurant Eight where guests could sample our signature chicken pie or pasture-reared beef burger and decadent flourless chocolate cake.
A leisurely stroll along the heritage River Walk wrapped up the day and guests once again made their way home.
