November brings those first hints of proper summer heat, and with it the urge for drinks that taste like sunshine in a glass. This Blush Crush sangria takes our canned rosé and turns it into something made for lazy afternoons when the only plan is to enjoy good company and that first sip that tastes like the season ahead.

Our Canned Rosé 2025 brings ripe cherry and strawberry flavours that blend seamlessly with fresh fruit and brandy. The wine’s light salmon pink colour makes for a gorgeous base while its juicy middle palate and crisp finish keep the sangria refreshing rather than cloying. Add fresh orange slices and strawberries, and you’ve got a drink that amplifies the wine’s natural berry character while the brandy adds just enough warmth to keep each sip interesting. Served over ice in stemless glasses.

Blush Crush Sangria

Ingredients: (serves 2)

about 1 cup ice cubes
1 250ml can Spier Rosé
2 tots Brandy
a few slices of fresh orange
about 6 strawberries, halved or sliced
soda water or lemonade, for topping up

Method:

Add everything to a cocktail shaker. Shake, strain into two martini glasses and garnish with a slice of orange. Serve immediately.
