Enjoying wine at Spier
Sample, savour and stock up on Spier’s internationally acclaimed wines at our Tasting Room. If the weather’s warm, enjoy your tasting outside, on the shade-covered stoep, which offers front-row views of the farm dam and majestic Helderberg mountains. On cooler days, the airy, art-filled interior – with its Heath Nash chandelier of 334 wine bottles! – is a delight (come winter, our vote for the best seat in the house is by the roaring fire).
Conducted by one of our friendly and knowledgeable wine educators, our set tastings have been designed to give you a mouthwatering overview of what our winery has to offer. But if you’d prefer to just enjoy a glass (or bottle!) of something, you’re welcome to. Feeling peckish? Order an olive, cheese or cured meat board, or try our seasonal tastings, which features wines artfully matched with delectable canapes.

Spier Tasting: Choose three wines from our Signature range and one from each of the three premium wine ranges, 21 Gables, Creative Block and Seaward
Chocolate and wine tasting: Inspired by the Spier Cap Classique and our Spier Creative Block blends, the chocolatier has carefully crafted chocolates that complement and unlock nuanced flavours in each of our liquid treasures.
Winemaker Selection: Taste from our 21 Gables and Creative Block ranges plus the organic red blend, Spier First Stone
Children's Grape Juice Tasting: Keep the youngsters busy with a tasting of two different grape juices and an educational activity sheet highlighting the role insects play in our vineyards

Our farm is your playground. We invite you to explore our pastures, food garden and vineyards on foot, bike or Segway. The little ones can explore the Elemental Garden’s swing bridge and slide or run free among the Werf’s granite boulders – or take them to meet birds-of-prey at Eagle Encounters, our raptor rehabilitation centre.
Art is everywhere at Spier. Ranging from soaring sculptures to contemporary canvases, these works have been created by both the unsung heroes and the leading luminaries of South African art.
