The event, held at Grand West Casino in Cape Town, was one of seven held across South Africa and saw 200 000 meals packed for the day -- a significant contribution to the goal of two million meals to be packed in South Africa. Other countries taking part include India, Italia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
The Spier team packed 20 boxes in their 67 minutes. There are 36 packs in a box and each pack feeds six people, which means that this contribution ensures that 4320 hungry bellies will be fed in the coming year.
