JULI 18, 2016 | On 13 July, 20 Spier volunteers joined other representatives from other companies to participate in a meal packaging event by Stop Hunger Now SA to celebrate International Mandela Day. Each business taking part in this Mandela Day activity paid a fee that covered the food being packed.

MAJ 09, 2016 | Last month we began an experimental trial with the planting of 50 indigenous COCOON trees at Spier. Using technology developed by the Dutch Land Life Company, each tree was planted inside a 100% biodegradable container (which protects the seedling from wind, sun and small animals) together with all the water it will need to establish its root system.

APRIL 21, 2016 | On 6 April 2016, approximately 70 people attended the Klapmuts Tree-preneur Ceremony, which celebrated the success of this programme that supports local ecological sustainability.Tree-preneurs earn their bicycles by growing indigenous trees through a programme run in partnership with Qhubeka, Wildlands, Spier Wine Farm and the Pedal Power Association.
