A favourite destination of many visitors to the farm, Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery will be flying the festive flag with a Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas day lunch.
On the menu
Parma ham from Farmer Angus, fresh oysters from Saldanha Bay, Vadas’ renowned baked breads and greens from Spier Food Garden
Moroccan lamb shoulder, fire-grilled chicken, smoked gammon along with sides and salads. Vegetarian and vegan options are available with delicious choices such as baked aubergine and fire-roasted beetroot salad.
Freshly made mince pies, cherry hertzoggie pie, pasteis de nata and ginger biscuits are for dessert.
Kids under 10 get their own special menu.

As part of our Growing for Good initiatives, we grow a lot of our own food in the Spier Food Garden, and for what we can't grow ourselves, we partner with local suppliers who share our values. When it comes to meat, we work with Farmer Angus and farmers who share our understanding of taking care of animals and not wasting anything. We believe that quality ingredients should not be fussed over. At Spier, food is about life.
