Natasha Meister - the 23yr old, Canadian born, award winning prodigy singer/songwriter has been dubbed 'The Meister' by local and international fans and supporters and it stands to reason when you see this youngster perform. After two years in the industry, she was recognized as a rising star with incredible passion and seemingly limitless talent. To credit her name, Natasha is the only woman in Africa who is endorsed by both Fender (USA) and Lakewood (Germany) guitar makers.
Natasha released her debut album 'Half Way' in April 2012, with the single 'Safe In The Silence' making it's mark in the SA scene both on National Radio and TV. Some of the tracks off Natasha’s album have also been play-listed in various parts the world - including: Canada, Australia and the USA. She caught the attention of international superstar Daniel Bedingfield, who insisted that she join him to collaborate in late 2012 for his South African tour.
Having performed with some of the best and brightest stars in the SA scene, such as, Arno Carstens (Springbok Nude Girls), Jimmy Dludlu, Piet Botha, Albert Frost, Guy Buttery, Steve Newman, Tony Cox, Ard Matthews (Just Jinger), Henry Steel Jnr. (Karen Zoid) and Dan Patlansky, to name a few, she is looking at bigger and better things to come.
Macstanley
Like all truly world-beating bands, MACSTANLEY is greater than the sum of its parts. It started with the simple beginnings of big dreams, two chance meetings and a humble song-writing competition in Cape Town, and has grown to encompass sold-out shows across South Africa and Europe, pioneering work with a full orchestra, radio hits and a growing global fan-base. Throughout it all, Andy Mac, Clinton Gahwiler and Neil Benjamin have upheld an unflagging commitment to giving their audiences songs that make music live beyond the live show, the CD album or the download. It's a journey that's taken them from club stages to stadiums and led to their greatest venture yet, a brand new 12 track album produced by Brian O'Shea and presented by Sheer Sound.
The new album 'Lucid, Alive & Dreaming' marks the finest MACSTANLEY work to date, a collection of music that sees them ramp up the sound of the band into a contemporary gear while retaining the signature elements that have brought this pop-rock powerhouse to where it is today. The pieces are a combination of crafted emotion written at Clinton and Neil's home-studios, before receiving Andy's voice and the MACSTANLEY treatment.
