Woordfees: Johnny Cash
Hallo, my naam is Johnny Cash
Johnny Cash was a farm boy from Arkansas who became famous for his deep baritone and defiant, albeit depressive, temperament. His life was filled with love and sorrow. He was an award-winning blue-collar troubadour. His exposure to the Baptist faith and the hell-fire and brimstone in gospel music, had a huge influence on his lyrics and music. He is an American paradox: A Republican with a big heart for the Other.
The proceeds from this production are used for the development of musicians in disadvantaged communities.
