Six evenings. Six winemakers. One secret: our honest-to-goodness ratio of good wine, seasonal food and the company you keep.
From May through October, book your seat at one of our Winemakers Dinners at Veld in Spier Hotel. Escape the cold and gather in an intimate restaurant setting on the last Friday of each month to meet the people behind the wines.
Enjoy a glass of welcome bubbles, followed by a seasonal four-course menu with wine pairings and coffee, hosted by one of our winemakers.

29 May | Master Chenin
Enjoy the mastery of old vine Chenin with our Cellar Master, Johan Jordaan, twice named Chenin Blanc Champion at the International Master Winemaker 100 Awards 2025 and 2026.
26 June | Older Vintages, Older Vines
A cellar exploration featuring aged wines paired with slow-cooked comfort dishes.
24 July | No Rules
Unconventional pairings that challenge what you know about food and wine.
28 August | Shiraz & Associates
A masterclass in South African reds, from Blanc de Noir to Shiraz Port.
25 September | Creative Block
An evening of creative cooking and boundary-pushing flavours. Our most-awarded wines pair with dishes designed to challenge convention and delight the senses.
30 October | Chef Partnership
A celebration of pasture-to-plate philosophy. Chefs Hennie, PJ and Craig each contribute their signature dishes, closing the season with beef, oxtail and bone marrow.

This April, Spier's historic Old Wine Cellar becomes home to Wild Things, a new ceramics exhibition celebrating instinct, imagination and the spirit within clay.
Sensorial Tasting: Journey Through the Vine
As part of the Woordfees program we are presenting a series our our sensorial tasting for you to enjoy. Set in the private Green Room of the Spier Manor, this intimate experience invites guests to taste their way through the Creative Block range blindfolded.
The Routes of Sound 2026
Music has always had its place at Spier. Following the ecstatic reception of last year’s event Brett Bailey and Third World Bunfight will present The Routes of Sound again this winter as a series of events.
