Spier Light Art 2027
When the sun sets over Spier, something else begins to glow. Spier Light Art returns for its ninth year, with new works placed along the paths and historic buildings of the farm.
Curated by Vaughn Sadie, this year’s exhibition invites artists to create as light becomes the idea, the material and the subject all at once. Some pieces ask you to join in. Others ask you to slow down and simply look. A few will make you smile, and some might stay with you long after you’ve gone home.
Entry is complimentary, but booking is essential.

A Summer Dream at Spier
On three December evenings, Spier’s amphitheatre will fill with dancers, musicians, singers and actors as A Summer Dream returns for its fifth year. Produced by Brett Bailey of Third World Bunfight and set to the music of Jak Tomas, this hour-long performance brings music, movement and storytelling together beneath the stars. It’s a joyful start to the festive season, made for the whole family.

Erloom South Africa at Spier 2027
Spier welcomes Erloom, a young Dutch culinary collective, for an eight week residency, the first time this Hilvarenbeek based group has worked outside the Netherlands. Founded by chef Gijs Bruurs and grown out of a summer restaurant on an organic farm, Erloom is built around fire, nature and the people gathered around the table.
